After graduating, I spent a year working in long-term care, where I gained invaluable experience and deepened my passion for nursing.
In 2018, I had the opportunity to return to my home community of Potlotek to work at the Health Centre. It was a rewarding experience to give back to the community that had shaped me, but I knew my journey in nursing wasn’t over.
I decided to take the next step in my career and enrolled in the LPN-RN bridge program at Cape Breton University. In September 2023, I officially became a full-time student once again, joining the Nursing Cohort group.
It’s a challenging but exciting chapter of my life, and I’m proud to say I’ll be graduating in the fall of 2025, ready to take on new opportunities and continue making a difference—both in my community and beyond.
